Middle School Retreat 2021

September 13-15th were the three days of our middle school retreat. They were 3 days of so much fun!

On the first day, we started off at Carlington Park with a few activities and games that helped the students from the different classes to get to know each other. We got a yummy breakfast that the school provided and then, we got to Marked Obstacle Course and did a bunch of fun and challenging obstacles. Next, we got on the buses and returned to the school. We had a great dinner prepared by our teachers – delicious BBQ! Lastly, we had a fun activity that me and my classmates from grade 8 led.

The second day was also amazing! Maybe even better than the first day. We were at school, half asleep, at 6:30 am, which was very early, but worth it. We got on the buses and after an hour and a half, we finally were in the rafting site. When we finished to get ready, we hopped on the boats and started paddling. It was awesome! After a few hours of paddling we stopped on a small island and had sandwiches that the school gave us for lunch. The warm fire pit was a nice addition. Then we continued rafting until we were back on the beach and changed into dry clothes.

The third day was a short day because it was Erev Yom Kippur. We had activities and games in school until 12, and then we went home.

This year’s Middle School Retreat was an amazing experience that made me return home with a smile on my face every day. I had so much fun and I am so happy I got to experience all of those activities.
